Home Information Packs

Home Information Packs (HIPs)

It is now a legal requirement that you have a HIP before you can start marketing a residential property for sale. You would be wise to contact a trained home information pack solicitor, who can provide this as part of their conveyancing service.

This is because there is a degree of duplication in the work involved in preparing a HIP and in dealing with the conveyancing work and we can pass that on to you in the form of a discount on your conveyancing fees. Buyers

We can also offer a service to Buyers in advising on the content of any HIP for a property which you are thinking about buying. Because we are experts at preparing HIPs for Sellers we can also quickly spot and advise you about any problem areas with the legal title or search results. It is sometimes better for you to find out about this before you put in an offer and start incurring costs on the purchase. Our service is inexpensive and if you instruct us to deal with the conveyancing on your purchase as well there may be a saving which we can pass on if there is an element of duplication in the work involved.
